Personal Gear - these do not have to be packed in a backpack. Scouts may use a duffle bag.
Class A Uniform (to be worn on Sunday at drop off): Scout shirt with current patches, Scout shorts, socks, Scouting related hat, Troop 921 neckerchief & slide, clothes hanger for shirt
Shirts: 6 - Troop 921, scouting related or blank t-shirts, 1 blank sweat shirt or Troop 921 hoodie
Shoes: a pair of well broken-in and sturdy hiking boots with good ankle support, a pair of tennis shoes, a pair of shower shoes/sandals
Pants: 2 pair of Scouting pants or jeans, 2 - 3 pair of shorts -with pockets and BELT. (Please leave the sweat pants & athletic shorts at home).
Underwear/socks: 6 pair of underwear, 8 pair (minimum) of thick, athletic socks
Swim suit with beach towel - pack these at the TOP of the bag. They will need these 1st thing after arrival at camp.
2 towels for showering
Flashlight with spare batteries & bulbs
Toiletries -tooth brush, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, chap stick, deodorant, mirror, tissues, comb, glasses, glasses case, contacts, contact case and solution, retainers, night headgear, medications (see medications page), etc…
Sun screen
Non-aerosol insect repellent
3 foot long whipped knot rope
Pocketknife and Whittling Chit or Totin Chit
Compass
Canteen/water bottle
Poncho/rain gear
10’ Clothes line and clothes line clips
Sleeping pad, summer sleeping bag, pillow
Scout handbook, paper, pen/pencil, merit badge book(s), any other materials for advancement or pre requisites for merit badges
Medication in accordance with Troop campout policy (see Troop Medication page under Summer Camp)

Lighters
Candy, snacks – we WILL get critter visits in camp
Clothing with inappropriate wording/pictures
Guns & ammunition
Fireworks
Sheathed knives – folding knives only
Aerosol cans of any kind
Too much money – a fool and his money soon part ways
Family heirlooms, jewelry, library books, or other
Unneeded or irreplaceable valuables
Bad attitude!
